Dr Esther Mahlangu Collaborates With Carol Bouwer To Create Luxury Bags. Talk about a powerful collaboration. Dr Esther Mahlangu, is known for her bold large-scale contemporary paintings that reference her Ndebele heritage. In 2016, Dr Mahlangu was commissioned by the BMW Group to redefine a BMW 7 Series.
Beginning of 2020, she unveiled her Rolls-Royce Phantom at The Melrose Gallery in Cape Town. This made Dr Mahlangu, the first South African artist to have been commissioned to create a painting for the Gallery inside a new Phantom.
Our iconic acclaimed artist, has now collaborated with businesswoman Carol Bouwer, to create luxury bags. The collaboration celebrates the heritage of South Africa. The two inspirational women have unveiled 50 custom Carol Bouwer handbags, each featuring the acclaimed artworks of Mahlangu.
