Soul City Back With A New Generation of Talent. We always hear of actors returning to reprise their roles in popular shows. This time around, a show that has been off screen for over a decade is making a comeback. Soul City is set to return to the small screen in just a few days.

The series that was known to educate and entertain was set in a fictional township. It mirrored many of the challenges faced by poor communities everywhere. Soul City also boasted a talented cast among the, Lillian Dube, the late Nandi Nyembe, Tango Ncetezo, Zikhona Sodlaka and Clementine Mosimane among other greats.
The Soul City Institute has just announced the return of the series to television, through its groundbreaking new programme, Shayi’ndlela (Turn the Tide). It will return as a 13-part television drama series that is designed to spark national conversations around gender, power and violence. This time around it is coming with fresh talent, faces that we can’t wait to see.
