Twitter Weighs In On President Cyril Ramaphosa Leaving Private Schools Out In His Speech

Twitter Weighs In On President Cyril Ramaphosa Leaving Private Schools Out In His Speech. Thursday evening president Cyril Ramaphosa gave another update on the Covi-19 pandemic. He announced that, public schools will go on a break from 27 July to 24 August, except for Grade 12 and Grade 7 learners who will return to school on 3 August and 10 August respectively.

We have taken a deliberately cautious approach to keep schools closed during a period when the country is expected to experience its greatest increase in infections,” he said.

Many noticed that the president didn’t say a thing about private school learners. Could this be a case of not all animals being equal? Or it’s because private schools have better measures in place to control the spread of the virus?

Twitter could not let this one slide and weighed in on Ramaphosa not including private learners in his speech. Some do not have a problem wit private learners continuing with attending classes, whereas feel this is is not fair as the virus doesn’t choose.
