Former Idols SA Star Loyiso Gijana Pens A Touching Song On Gender Based Violence. There have been protest against gender based violence, workshops, and everything you can think of, but still, every day we get new reports of women who have been abused or even died at the hands of men.

In his recent nation address, president Cyril Ramaphosa said there’s a second pandemic against women and the children, which is gender based violence. There are a number of our local celebs who used their socil status to speak about this worrying issue.

One of them is singer Loyiso Gijana, who used his voice as an artist to sensitize the nation about this second pandemic we are facing. The multifaceted artist penned a song pleading with South African men to stop killing women. He also urged men to fight for women, rather than expecting women to be on their own.

A CRY TO ALL MEN ‼️

OUR WOMEN/ SISTERS AND MOTHERS ARE FIGHTING FOR THIER LIVES IN A WORLD WHERE A WOMEN IS KILLED DAILY!

Why are we so quiet as men when all you can hear is a women’s cry?

Why do we feel entitled to a women’s body?

I believe that men should be protesting , walking the streets, standing up for women.

The best way to fight gender based violence against women is for men to stand together for Women. If women can’t fight for themselves then who’s gonna fight for them.
