Lebo M Not Impressed After A Comedian Made Fun of Some Lyrics From The Lion King Song

Lebo M Not Impressed After A Comedian Made Fun of Some Lyrics From The Lion King Song. Quite often at times, podcasts hosts and their guests get n trouble over what they discussed. The latest podcast to be in this kind of situation is One54 Africa, where some lyrics from the Circle of Life song were mocked.
Zimbabwean standup comedian Learnmore Jonasi was the guest, with Godfrey and Akbar Gbajabiamila, as hosts. Jonasi took it upon himself to translate the meaning of Circle of Life’s opening chant Nants’ Ingonyama. He said that is translates to “Look, there is a lion, oh my God!” – to which they react with disappointment and shock. Even in the comments section, many were shocked over the translation. They feel it doesn’t fit the whole majestic feel that the song and movie gives.
LeboM is not impressed by the whole joke. The renowned producer and composer also seized the moment to educate the masses on the meaning behind the words, Nants’ Ingonyama.
“Good morning everyone. There has been a viral moment where @learnmore_jonasi @godfreycomic @one54africa spoke about the phrase “Nants’ Ingonyama “ a royal lyrical metaphor composed by Lebo M. While meant as humor, it turned something deeply meaningful into a joke.
The truth is, these words are not random sounds. They come from language, culture, and heritage.
“Nants’ Ingonyama” carries a history and a spirit that deserves to be understood with the respect it was created in.
So today, I respond.
And this is where we begin something important,a conversation dedicated to decoding the meaning behind the words, restoring the context, the culture, and the power they carry.
Because some phrases are not just lyrics. They are legacy.
The Lion does not trend, it roars,” Lebo said.
