Ferguson Films Release An Official Statement Addressing Exploitation Allegations
Ferguson Films Releases An Official Statement Addressing Exploitation Allegations. On Monday Vatiswa Ndara wrote an open letter to Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa about exploitation in the entertainment industry.
After being mum for over a day, Ferguson Films have taken it upon themselves to release a statement. Connie Ferguson took to Instagram on behalf of Ferguson Films and expressed their stand against this exploitation burning issue.
On her letter Vatiswa used Ferguson Films as an example when she spoke about how producers, channels and those running the industry take advantage of desperate actors.
“We support 100% a need for the industry to be regulated and for the Performance Protection Amendment Bill to be signed soon rather than later. The allegations made by various actors do not reflect the true position of the industry and paints a false picture that may mislead the public,” she said on the statement.
