Minnie Dlamini Celebrates a Major Career Milestone. When they talk about the entertainment industry, they talk about a dog eat dog world. It is one competitive industry, where you can be here today and gone tomorrow. We have seen even the most talented people like the late Vinoliah Mashego, Nonhle Thema and Hugh Masebenza be left out in the cold without jobs, as new talent steps in.
Even though that is sometimes the case, there are some individuals in the industry who have stood the test of time. One of those is Minnie Dlamini, who is now in her 12th year as a TV personality. We first got to meet the talented media personality, actress and executive producer in 2010, when she was announced as the SABC1 show, Live Amp host.
That was the beginning of a fruitful career for Minnie, who kept on bagging show after show. She has co-hosted Mzansi Insider, an SABC 1’s lifestyle show, an in 2013, Minnie switched to sports broadcasting by co-hosting Soccerzone with Thomas Mlambo, until in 2016 when the show’s format was changed by SABC1. At the moment, Minnie co-hosts another sports show, HomeGround with Lungile Radu on Mzansi Magic.
Her consistency in the industry, doesn’t stem from luck, but it is from hard work, talent as well as dedication. Minnie took to Instagram to express gratitude over having lasted this long as a live TV host, and still going strong.
