Karabo Ntshweng Opens Up About Grief 6 Months After losing Childhood Friend

Karabo Ntshweng Opens Up About Grief 6 Months After losing Childhood Friend. One thing about grief, one never fully gets over it. Every milestone, death anniversary, or any sorts of memory, takes us back to the day we lost our loved one. This is the case for Karabo Ntshweng who lost her childhood friend, Lerato Ramphomane six months ago.

Lerato was born on the 13th of September 1991, and passed away on the 9th of August 2025, just a month before her 34th birthday. She and Karabo come from far, and have beautiful memories shared on social media. Lerato was one of Karabo’s bridesmaids when she got married four years back. To remember Lerato, the media personality, every now and then shares touching posts about her.

This time around Karabo has opened up about her grief, and how she is doing 6 months later. Contrary to popular belief about grief, Karabo has shared that it doesn’t get better with time. There are days, she goes through the most. Despite the difficulties, Karabo vows to always love her late friend Lerato.

Six months 💛

People think grief moves like a calendar, that by now it should be quieter, softer, more “manageable.” But grief doesn’t follow dates. It follows love.

Some days it’s loud. It catches you in ordinary moments, a song, a laugh, a sentence you almost text. Other days it’s quieter. Heavier. A presence.Like someone still sitting in the room, just out of sight.

Six months without Lerato doesn’t mean six months of absence. It means six months of learning how to carry someone who mattered so much, in a world that keeps asking you to move on. Learning how to hold joy and sadness in the same breath. How to smile and still miss. How to live and still ache.

Six months on, and the love still remains.

Always and forever my friend ✨💛,
” Karabo said.
