Shocking: SuperSport Dismisses Robert Marawa Via Text. Thursday evening was a sad night for sports lovers. Their favorite presenter Robert Marawa did not pitch for Thursday Night Live with Marawa show. Reasons being Supersport fired him.
Marawa took to Twitter to share details of his dismissal. What shocked many is the manner in which the legendary media personality was fired. He was sent a text message a few hours before going live. Marawa was told not to bother coming to work.
“I received a text around 18H50 tonight informing me that I should not bother coming to Studio for Thursday Night Live with Marawa Show on SuperSport TV. I would like to thank all those who have supported my journey as a Sportscaster & those I’ve worked with at Supersport,” he said.
Although details around his dismissal are still sketchy, there are speculations that he stood up against sexual harassment at work. Sports lovers across the continent are saddened by the news. Many took to Twitter to air their thoughts as well as support Marawa.
