Phathu Makwarela On His SAFTAs Outfit Inspiration. Not only is he a great creative, he also has a great eye for fashion. Phathutshedzo Makwarela isamong those who had a great night at the SAFTAs 13.

For the big night the award winning writer wore a South African fabric called Nwenda. This is a colourful traditional cloth, worn by the Venda people. He credits actress and author Florence Masebe for influencing him to wear it. Phathu absolutely looked great.

He is the brains behind many local TV series. At the moment Phathu is the executive producer and co-creator of 1Magic’s hit telenovela The River and head writer of The Queen for Mzansi Magic.
