This past Saturday, the celebrated media icon and entrepreneur graced the Zeitz Mocca 2026 Gala. Guided by the theme ‘By the Footsteps of the Beloved’, the Gala brought together artists, patrons and cultural leaders in support of contemporary African art and the continued stewardship of this vital institution. The night was also a moving tribute to the late Koyo Kouoh, whose vision and leadership continue to shape the museum’s legacy and future.
The celebration unfolded across the museum. Rooftop drinks overlooking the city set the tone, before we descended into the soaring atrium for dinner, seated beneath the dramatic cathedral of silos that define this remarkable museum of contemporary art. Bonang made sure that she looked the part with her Gucci La Principessa from the La Famiglia Collection.
