Sana Mchunu Introduces Her New Acting Role. When doors closes others open. This is the case with Sana Mchunu, who got a new acting role as Gomora comes to an end.
The award winning actress plays one of the most loved characters of Zodwa on Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora. For the role she won Favorite Actress award at the DStv Mzansi Magic Viewers Choice’ Awards in June 2022. For the same role, Sana scooped the Outstanding Supporting Actress Award, at the Royalty Soapie Awards, in September 2020.
Sadly the multi-award winning telenovela will be coming to an end come the 20th of October. Already key characters such as Ntokozo, Ma-zet, Thati, Mam’ Sonto are no longer part of the storyline. This hurts because it means loss of jobs for both the crew and cast members.
Sana though was all positive despite the sad reality she and her colleagues were faced with. She took to Instagram with a beautiful message to the crew and cast of Gomora, promising them that big things are yet to come. Sana advised them to stay hopeful, as much as it is painful to lose jobs. The good thing for her is that, she has a new job, and we are looking forward to see how she is going to be portrayed in the new role.
Sana is part of Icala, a new Mzansi Magic drama that started on the 9th of October. It will air every Monday at 20:00. Sana plays the role of Ma Nxumalo, an individual we all can’t wait to meet.
