2015 Harmony Bursary Scheme

The Objective Of The Harmony Bursary Scheme:

At Harmony Gold we believe in developing our people and deliver value. The objective of the Harmony Bursary Scheme is to recruit and select bursars for full time study at accredited Tertiary Institutions. The Bursary Scheme accommodates students entering or is already at Tertiary Institutions. As an employer of choice, we seek to attract talent by educating and developing individuals so that they can acquire the appropriate skills, knowledge and qualifications.

Harmony Bursary Scheme

We acknowledge that our employees present and potential have aspirations but perhaps not the means to be formerly educated in their fields of interest. To this end we have created the Harmony Bursary Scheme which awards successful applicants, bursaries for full time study at accredited tertiary institutions. The scheme covers tuition and residence fees, the cost of prescribed text books and also provides a personal allowance.

The scheme is designed to contribute to the development of historically disadvantaged South Africans.

For the year 2015 preference is given to the following fields which are functional to the mining industry:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current ONLY)
  • IT (Information technology)
