Thandiswa Mazwai Calls for Ubuntu as Somalian Nationals Get Turned Away at One Local Clinic

Thandiswa Mazwai Calls for Ubuntu as Somalian Nationals Get Turned Away at One Local Clinic. It goes without saying that the country is going through the most. There is a high unemployment rate, high inflation rate, crime and so forth.
One other thing that residents are not happy about is the standard of our health services, more so in public clinics and hospitals. Those who can’t afford private health care services are subjected to shortages of medication, beds, among other things. Part of the blame for all of this is put on foreign nationals who are accused of congesting the system.
A year ago, Limpopo Health MEC Dr Phophi Ramathuba was filmed addressing the issue, She spoke to a Zimbabwean patient on the impact of foreign nationals taking up bed space in public hospitals. The video trended on social media, sparking a debate on South Africa’s approach to illegal immigration.
Of recent, Operation Dudula has been visiting clinics and chasing away foreigners seeking medical attention. They recently turned away some Somalian nationals in Barcelona Clinic, Daveyton. As expected this has sparked a debate on social media with some supporting the act, while others condemning it.
One of those not happy about this is Thandiswa Mazwai. The multi-award winning songstress calls the whole incident, insane. She also urged fellow South Africans to practice Ubuntu, and empathize with others.
“This is insane! Nibiza abantu ngezinja. Hawu!Lafa elihle!!Baphela nya UbuNtu. I know you think we have a right to this behavior but I’m telling you once UbuNtu buphele emntwini we are all fucked as abaNtu! And you have seen it! South Africans have lost Ubuntu babo! Nembeza dololo,” Thandiswa said.
