Responsibilities: 

• Produce consistent and effective on and off-air marketing, maintaining the look and feel of the Channels through promotional campaigns and with the aim of increasing audience share for key programming.

• Produce material for other internal departments including Ad Sales, Marketing, Affiliate sales as requested

• Consistantly develop innovative concepts and ideas, and present to department head in a proactive manner

• Work to briefs from department head, Marketing, GM, or any relevant clients

• Plan production time autonomously, including material requests, and ensure delivery deadlines are met punctually

• Develop innovative promo concepts in line with brief, budget and available production time

• Write promo copy that meets the highest professional and creative standards, as well as strategic objectives

• View, log and digitize (where required) relevant footage

• Oversee production process of graphic elements by Graphic Designer.  Develop implementation of graphic design and animation in collaboration with the graphic artists.

• Source and select appropriate library or commercial music (be aware that commercial music rights need to be cleared prior to commencing project)

• Edit offline promo that includes music, selected shots, guide VO and graphic placeholders.

• Oversee audio final mix- including selecting and directing of voice over artists to a high professional standard

• Online edit including colour grading and ensuring the promo meets broadcast specs

• To develop collaborative working relationships with designers, editors and audio engineers, to utilise their talent and experience to improve production.

• Check and ensure that all messages communicated are correct and that the promo adheres to internal and industry broadcast standards

• Manage media storage and archive solutions

Requirements

• Minimum 2 year experience as an editor/promo producer for On-Air department in similar TV environment
• A detailed understanding of video and television production work-flows
• Proven creative skills in on-air communication
• Advanced knowledge of FCP and/or Adobe Premiere Pro edit systems
• Advanced technical knowledge of post-production facilities and media management solutions
• Excellent copywriting skills with emphasis on a good vocabulary and command of the English language

Advantageous

Operating knowledge of (& proven skill with) camera, sound & lighting equipment for shoots
