Job description
We are a content marketing agency. We advise our clients on marketing and communications strategy, we develop websites, deliver inbound marketing and social media campaigns, write blogs, newsletters and email campaigns and provide marketing management services to our clients, who are mainly small to medium-sized organisations looking to bring in new customers.
During your internship you will be part of a small team and will be involved hands-on in our projects. You will start as a general assistant and various members of our team will help you learn to do tasks as you go along. The advantage of joining a small office is that you will be exposed to a wide variety of tasks and gain all-round experience in the fields of digital and content marketing.

Requirements
Preference will be given to a graduate with a four-year degree (e.g. honours in English or marketing), as we need someone who has had exposure to a high standard of research, analytical thinking, planning and time management as well as content preparation and presentation.
Essential skills required are:
- Excellent English skills – reading, writing, communication
- Good online research skills – show discernment in looking for, selecting and summarising relevant information
- Competence in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Adept at using social media platforms like Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and LinkedIn
Advantageous
- An interest in the environment of media and marketing – you will be expected to keep up with industry trends, follow thought leaders, learn to use online tools
- An interest in the visual elements of marketing – for example, you may have to find suitable images for a campaign or design social media memes
- A flair for understanding basic online technology. You will be required to learn to interpret Google analytics, apply SEO practices, manage social media platforms, handle back-end admin for WordPress sites and load and optimise blog articles.

You also need to be good with people, have an even temperament, be willing to work in a team and be committed to the success of all projects, which includes often tackling menial tasks to get the job done.

Contract may be renewed for a further six months if performance is satisfactory – potential permanent job offer at the end of 12 months.
