Nande Mabala On Whether Or Not She Will Enter Miss SA Pageant Again. Almost every year, there are a couple of returning hopefuls, trying once again for the Miss South Africa title. In 2022 Chuma Matsaluka, Bianca Bezuidenhout, Lebogang Mahlangu and Lehlohonolo Machaba returned to the pageant.
As a matter of fact, one of the favorite to ever win Miss SA, Zozibini Tunzi, was coming back for the 2nd time. She began her pageantry career in 2017, when she was accepted as one of the top 26 semifinalists of Miss South Africa 2017. After not making it, Zozi returned to pageantry to compete in 2019, and won. She then want to represent the country in Miss Universe and came back with the crown.
This year once again there were a couple of returnees. Among them are Natasha Joubert and Melissa Nayimuli. Melissa finished Top 5, whereas Natasha was crowned Miss South Africa 2023. The first runner up is Bryoni Natalie Govender, while Nande Mabala clinched the 3rd spot.
Will some of these women come back for the ultimate position just like Natasha? Well, as for Nande, she is content with how far she has come. Making it to Top 3 is a major achievement, and she is grateful for it.
“I walked on the Miss South Africa stage izolo. I made it into the Top 3 of Miss South Africa! I am still pinching myself. I said I would and I did. 😍🥺,” Nande said.
She then pleaded with her well wishers to refrain from the “enter again” messages.
” I got everything I needed from the experience. I am not the same person I was when I entered. I am empowered. Children from my community are inspired. I have done what I set out to do,” she explained.
