Khuli Chana Says Being Shot In 2013 Gave Him New Perspective & Meaning On Life

It’s been two years now since Khuli Chana was allegedly shot by police in a case of mistaken identity. The incident occurred in Midrand on 28 October 2013. . The hip hop artist sustained a bullet wound to his hand, and it’s shrapnel lodged in his back. Chana was the only person in the car at the time and he was shot after he apparently failed to stop at a roadblock set up at a petrol station on the N1 in Midrand.

It seems that Khuli has really moved on since the incidence and has made peace with it. The rapper recently released a statement where he revealed that his life has changed for the better since the shooting incident.

He said, “Two years ago on this date my life changed forever. The shooting incident has given me new perspective and meaning on life. I have found a new purpose in life and I recently purchased a ‘Bullet 4 Peace’ neckpiece as a symbolism that good things can come out of a bad situation. I have decided to make lemonade out of the lemons that were thrown at me,”.

Khuli even thanked everyone who supported him through the ordeal.

“As I commemorate this day with my family and loved ones, and give thanks to God for my life, I would like to thank all those who supported me through that period –  fans and the media,” he said.
