Overcoming laziness, or having the ability to do things that we do not want to do, is an important part of gaining success. Laziness involves a lack of motivation and it is similar to procrastination. But, unlike a lazy person, a procrastinator aspires and intends to complete the task but laziness has everything to do with no intentions to do a specific task.
Laziness is bad and it can hinder you from succeeding in life, so it’s time to change the way you do things and check out the following steps for a better way of life….
1. Stay organized – When you’re organized its a lot easier to do well in life. Getting organized means getting where you need to be and gathering your supplies.
2. Plan ahead- Planning is the most important part of the formula we call time management. Planning will keep you on course in achieving your goals and objectives. Make a ‘to-do’ list every evening before bed.
3. Find motivation – Sometimes in life it is hard to get started. Sometimes it is hard to continue. Sometimes it is hard to finish. Whatever stage you are in, you need one thing to complete it successfully and that thing is motivation.
4. Get excited– Excitement is important because it moves us to action like nothing else. It is important that we create something positive to think about and look forward to on a regular basis. Complete your ‘to-do’ list first thing in the morning
5. Remove the distractions- One of the fundamental principles of productivity is that in order to get things done, you gotta focus. And that necessary focus requires that you eliminate as many distractions as possible
6. Dress the part- How you dress is exactly how you want to be addressed. Take good care of yourself and be presentable. This will boost your confidence and you will always looking forward to every day. If you look good, you will feel good.
7. Prioritize– Time is always on the move –the best way to prevent it from getting away is by prioritizing! You should have a system that helps you to easily focus on, and accomplish the most important tasks first, you will be able to easily prioritize, and will be less stressed and more productive as a result.
8. Surround yourself with action people – Think of the five or ten people you spend most time with. What are these people doing? How passionate are they? Do they inspire you? If the answer is no, then it’s time to find new friends.
9. Don’t rush things- Remember that you are a working progress right? Take small tasks and finish , one step at a time. Do not push yourself too hard.
10. Find consistency– You probably realize that consistency is important for making progress, doing better work, getting in shape, and achieving some level of success in most areas of life.
