Clothing and Merchant Training Programme at Woolworths

Woolworths invites applications for the Clothing and Merchant Training (TMT) Programme in the Western Cape. The TMT programme is a 18-24 month trainee programme designed to develop technologists for the business.

Requirements

• Relevant degree /diploma in Textile Technology /Clothing Management
• Previous textile manufacturing and retail experience would be advantageous

Competencies

• Basic knowledge of fabric production and design
• Basic understanding of fabric manufacturing processes including spinning, dyeing and finishing.
• Good understanding of fibre properties
• A deep appreciation of the Woolworths Clothing and GM product and brand ethos
• Strong analytical ability
• Highly numerate
• Demonstrated taste level and flair
• Customer orientation
• Computer literate
• Sound business and commercial awareness
• A commitment to high performance delivery
• Assertive and able to communicate and influence effectively
• Appetite to acquire new knowledge through self- motivated learning
