ICT Internship Opportunities at the University of Zululand

Introduction

The University of Zululand is offering 5 ICT Internship Opportunities. If you are under 30 years of age, self-motivated, curious, talented and mature, self-disciplined, well presented, hard-working, eager to learn with a knack for problem solving and a passion for IT, then this opportunity is for you. Please note that University of Zululand is providing this structured contracted internship program for a set period of twelve months as a skills development opportunity for selected candidates with no obligation to formally hire interns at the end of the internship period.

Requirements

It is required that you have a minimum of Grade 12 Senior Certificate and a relevant IT qualification such as a BSc Computer Science degree/ Diploma in Information Technology or related.

Key Competencies

• Must be able to work under pressure
• Good communication skills
• Client service orientated

Key Accountabilities will include:

• Minimizes equipment down time
• Ensure customer satisfaction Must be prepared to do on-site visits for maintenance, diagnoses and repairs
• Record keeping of repairs
• Provide first-line and immediate support of routine nature
• Complex technical queries must be referred to higher level support specialist
• Configuration Management
• Change Management
• Computer Operations
• User Support
• Hardware/Software Installation
• Systems integration
• Service level Monitoring
• System testing
