Pamela Nomvete Stars In Netflix’s First African Animation Series. She is back, and definitely with a bang! A couple of months ago, Pamela Nomvete announced that she is part of Supa Team4!, a Netflix’s first original animated series from Africa.

The award winning veteran actress is widely recognized for her role in Generations, as Ntsiki. Her acting career is based both in South Africa and the UK. The actress is also a scriptwriter as well as an author. With the upcoming Supa Team4! series, it will be interesting to see Pamela do something totally different.

The series follows four teen girls living in the neo-futuristic African city of Lusaka who have been recruited by a retired secret agent still committed to saving the world. They plan to do so, even if it’s on a budget. In their journey from school girls tackling homework to undercover superheroes fending off supervillains, they’re transformed from a motley crew of friends into Supa Team 4!

The main characters are voiced by veteran producer and internationally acclaimed actor, Dr John Kani, Pamela herself, and Zowa Ngwira. Pamela plays an ex-spy Mama K, who recruits the youngsters for her superhero team.

The enchanting series was created by Zambian writer Malenga Mulendema, one of the eight winners in a pan-African talent search by Triggerfish and The Walt Disney Company in 2015. It was produced by South Africa’s Triggerfish Animation Studios. What’s even more cool is that there is also the option for viewers to watch using isiZulu dubbing.

Supa Team 4! is coming to Netflix globally on 20th July.
