Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will provide engineering support during the pre-construction and construction phases of Mainstream renewable energy project portfolio. You will work under the supervision of an Electrical Engineer or Senior Electrical Engineer within the Project Engineering team.
The scope of the Project Engineering team includes:
• Conceptual Design for Renewable Energy Power Plants
• Preparation of technical specifications
• Design review
• Quality monitoring during construction
• Grid connections
• Assist the Construction team on engineering issues
• Technical meetings during the construction period
• Interfacing with and managing external consultants and contractors
• Producing technical reports for management
• Ensuring engineering activities are carried out to the highest quality standards
The Successful Candidate will have the following Education, Experience and Characteristics and are considered essential for the role:
• An honours degree in Electrical Engineering
• Be flexible in terms of working arrangements, national travel and some international travel will be required as part of the job
• Have excellent communication and people skills
• Fluent in English language
Preference will be given to Candidates that have the following Experience:
• Understand wind turbine/solar PV technologies
• Knowledge of wind farm/solar farm design
• Knowledge of engineering software (AutoCAD, GIS, dynamic simulation software)
