Vacancy: Supervisor

Job Purpose                                                   

To ensure that all departmental activities are completed accurately and timeously as per DC plan through effective planning, leading, organizing and managing of the team.

Qualifications

A Grade 12 / Matric certificate is a minimum requirement.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience       

• Has the ability to lead, train and motivate staff members
• Is able to perform all tasks with a high degree of accuracy
• Has a flair for figures
• Is able to work to deadlines
• Has a high energy level and is prepared to go the extra mile
• Is able to maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances
• Has a strong sense of integrity, and is honest and ethical in everything they do
• Is self-motivated, takes responsibility and have a sense of pride in their work
• Is hard-working and focused
• Is able to work overtime, weekends and night shifts if and when required

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure daily production targets are achieved.

•Planning and organizing departmental activities and support services.

•Effective feedback and communication to leader and team members.

•Ensure correct use and maintenance of assets.

•Co-ordinate health and safety activities within the department.

•Effective management of team and related HR Matters.

•Leadership and self –management.

Other                                                                

•Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel is an essential requirement.

•Warehouse system knowledge is an essential requirement

•Previous experience in similar role in the clothing retail logistics industry would be advantageous.
