Consumers Threaten to Boycott MoFaya and Here Is Why

Consumers Threaten to Boycott MoFaya and Here Is Why. The news of Zahara’s passing have left social media users in a somber mood. Everyone is mourning the star, and heartfelt tributes are all over the internet.

The multi-award singer and songwriter passed away on Monday, after being hospitalized for just a few weeks. According to some unconfirmed reports, Zahara was admitted for suffering Cirrhosis which is severe scarring of the liver. The most common causes of the condition are hepatitis and other viruses, as well as alcohol abuse.

Just like many musicians, Zahara suffered a lot at the hands of those well established in the industry. Although she was at some point the most selling artist, she was not making that much.  Because of this, she and DJ Sbu, real name Sibusiso Leope, have not been on good terms for years. It all started when she accused the DJ and Thembinkosi “TK” Nciza (who were her record label executives at her former label, TS Records) of exploiting her. In 2019, the songstress claimed she did not receive royalties from her former bosses for her debut album Loliwe. The album sold over 500 000 copies and won her several awards.

Again during her 2021 interview with MacG and Sol Phenduka on Podcast and Chill. Zahara revealed that TS Records owed her millions of rands. Her feud has been ongoing, with each party claiming the other is not being truthful. In 2021, DJ Sbu fired back at Zahara saying he “built” himself from “nothing”.

Now that she is no more, DJ Sbu and TK find themselves trending. Social media is tearing the two apart focusing mainly on DJ Sbu. Some are even going to the extend that they will never buy Sbu’s energy drink, MoFaya.

Some though have a different take on the issue.
