There is one exception to this rule, which is if you are going to conduct your organization under yours or your partners first and surname. In cases such as this the name doesn’t need to be registered. Running a company under any other name than your legal one however must be registered. A prime example of this is as follows; if a person was called Steve Smith and they opened a company called Steve Smith there is no legal need to register the name, however if trading were to commence under the name Steve Smith Limited, this would need to be declared legally.
