The Masked Singer SA Back for Season II. This is one of the shows that South African audience loved to bits. Barely a few months after its premiere, The Masked Singer SA became SABC 3’s most-watched show.

The Masked Singer is a celebrity singing competition. Well known personalities perform under the cover of flamboyant costumes and facial masks to conceal their identities. It has proved to be a winning formula which has attracted voluminous audiences worldwide.

The South African version had four detectives (judges), who did a stellar job. There were TV personality and DJ, Sithelo Shozi, media personality and al round entertainer Somizi, award winning comedian and media personality Skhumba and award winning musician, author and TV personality J Something. The host was award winning comedian and media personality Mpho Popps. He made the show extra fun, with his side jokes, keeping everyone entertained.

Singer and TV personality, Holy Rey was crowned the winner of Masked Singer Season I. Musician Kurt Darren came 2nd as her runner up. As the winner Holly walked away with a brand new Mercedes Benz.

The Masked Singer SA is co-produced by Primedia and Anele Mdoda through her production company Rose and Oaks. The seasoned media personality has just announced that season II is coming, making viewers all excited. The new season will premier on the 6th of April 2024.
