WATCH: DA Leader Solly Msimanga Beaten Over A R1.4million Debt. There is ever a dull moment on Twitter. A few hours ago a shocking footage of the Democratic Alliance’s (DA) leader, Solly Msimanga, surfaced online. In the video clip, a bloody, Msimanga is berated by a man who claims the politician owes him money.

The footage shows Msimanga being confronted by an unidentified businessman who claims to have laid hands on Msimanga because he owes him R1.4million. The man goes on and accuses him of being a liar and a thief because he had stolen the money.

According to the businessman, he felt the need to defend himself: “You can’t push me around and not expect me to hit back.”

The two have since resolved their issue, and its all peace between the gentlemen. The man apologized and it looks liek there no money is outstanding.

Msimanga (born 16 July 1980) is a politician serving as the Leader of the Opposition in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature since May 2019. He has been a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature since February 2019, having previously served from 2014 to 2016. Msimanga was the Executive Mayor of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality from 2016 to 2019 and the DA Provincial Chairperson from 2014 to 2017. He was the Democratic Alliance’s Gauteng Premier candidate for the 2019 elections.

He married Monde Msimanga in 2006. They have two children named Amogelong and Aobokwe. Solly and his wife work together on the charity organization named “Make Somebody’s Christmas a Merry One”. The project donates groceries to disadvantaged families.

In October 2020, DA MPL Nkele Molapo filed a sexual harassment case against Msimanga. He denied the allegation and says that he is willing to take a lie detector test to prove his innocence. Msimanga responded by opening a crimen injuria case against Molapo.
