Bontle Modiselle Reminisces About the Epic Moments She Had Back In 2016. With the 2016 trend in full swing, social media users continue to share beautiful memories from a decade back. It’s even more fun now that celebrities have also joined in. Among those include Rachel Kolisi, Minnie Dlamini, Lasizwe, Oros Mampofu, Faith Nketsi, Pearl Modiadie, Thando Thabethe, Lasizwe, Blue Mbombo, Manaka Ranaka, Ayanda Makayi, Mrs Jande, Nolo Phiri and Nozuko Ntshangase.
Bontle Modiselle has also joined in, and her memories are quite heartwarming. According to her post, 2016 is the year she made a mark in the industry. This is the time she got her first official TV hosting gig. Bontle went on to bag more gigs, which cemented her position in the industry.
“2016 hey? Walk with me 🥹
It was a beautiful year. The era of the 3 dots on my forehead. In my first official TV hosting gig, I had the honor of co-hosting a Talent reality show called ‘Showville’ alongside Rob Van Vuuren on SABC 2 – and Cwebezela dedicated a poem to me 🥹 (I hope you’re well wherever you are). From hosting to being one of the Choreographers on Lip Sync Battle Africa for MTV (guests included Boity, Pearl Thusi, Denrele to name a few).
Then life did one of those things where it previewed what was next, having appeared as a guest with Denise Zimba (previously was one of her dancers) on Club 808 on ETV, shortly before being cast as a co-host on the final season alongside Lawrence Maleka the following year. What a time.
We attended our first MetroFM Awards, attended our first Cruz SA Fashion Week, and guest presented an award at the SAFTAs. We attended what I think was a conference, representing SABC talent, with NayMaps. We did a photoshoot for Destiny Connect, performed as Lead on a Naak Musiq Music Video and performed on LiveAmp (honestly forgot with who), but had a time with Warras (🕊️❤️).
We were beach bums with Akhumzi (🕊️❤️), we danced in heels and showed the nation what good knees we had, I loved on my sisters and then fiancé, now husband. Sikulile shem.
Thank you 2016. A blessing you were. 💫❤️,” Bontle captioned her memories.
