When he opened his new kiddies clothing store, Sompire Kids, it went without saying that the masses were going to support him. The business means the most for Somizi, who has been working on it for the past two years. He loves fashion with all his heart, and loves children to bids. This combination then made him launch the Sompire Kids brand, a labour of love.
Sompire Kids launched a month ago, operating only online. Still people showed some love to the brand with celebrities such as DJ Zinhle buying for their kids. Like any other business venture, this one also has to keep on growing. To show some massive growth, the first physical Sompire Kids Store was opened over the weekend at the Mall of Africa. People came in numbers to support Somizi. A-list celebs such as Pearl Thusi, Sibahle Mzizi, Ntando Duma, Zinhle, Leeroy Sidambe, Andile Ncube and Sebabatso Mothiniwere among those in attendance.
Although it’s cool to have some of the country’s top names in his store, Somizi doesn’t ignore the general public. Each and every customer is equally important. The celebrated media personality and businessman just celebrated one lady whp came to buy from the store. As the lady was paying at the till Somizi approached her from the back, taking the lady by surprise when she turned around seeing him standing there. Like an elated fan, she jumped up and down hugging Somizi. What a moment!
