Job Overview
The Receiving Clerk ensures that all incoming stock is correctly checked, recorded, and processed according to company procedures. You will verify deliveries, manage documentation, and support the smooth flow of stock from receiving to the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
• Verify, scan, and capture all goods received for the store
• Receive warehouse deliveries and match them against invoices
• Check goods for correct quantity, condition, and product type
• Return damaged or incorrect stock and process credit notes
• Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation
• Assist with logging supplier claims and discrepancies
• Ensure same day processing of incoming deliveries where possible
• Support stock movement from receiving to store floor
• Process supplier returns according to company procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of receiving and storeroom areas
• Monitor and manage high risk stock controls
• Ensure compliance with all receiving SOPs and store policies
• Support inventory accuracy through proper stock handling
Requirements And Skills
• Grade 12 or Matric certificate
• Basic computer literacy
• Strong numerical and analytical ability
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends
• Previous receiving or FMCG experience advantageous
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to follow strict operational procedures
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy stock over 20kg
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
