Ivanhoe Mines is hiring a Logistic Clerk at its Johannesburg office within the Ivanhoe Marketing division. This permanent role supports logistics loading operations through accurate administration, data validation and coordination with logistics service providers. You will play a key role in ensuring logistics data accuracy, documentation control and smooth coordination between stakeholders in a fast-paced operational setting.
Job Overview and Responsibilities
• Support daily logistics operations within the loading and dispatch environment
• Check and validate pre-advice data for trucks captured on the logistics system
• Monitor truck arrivals per logistics service provider and track allocation distribution
• Assist with validating truck data at reception for final registration
• Ensure accurate documentation control and timely distribution to relevant stakeholders
• Verify that logistics service providers submit required documents through the system
• Provide guidance to service providers on data accuracy and compliance requirements
• Capture and maintain diary of events entries for operational clarity and reporting
• Support communication between internal teams and external logistics partners
• Assist with resolving data discrepancies and operational queries
• Maintain accurate records and ensure system data integrity at all times
• Contribute to a collaborative working environment across logistics teams
Requirements and Skills
• National Senior Certificate (Matric) required
• Relevant logistics or supply chain qualification will be an advantage
• Experience in logistics, freight or commodity movement environments preferred
• Strong computer literacy with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Understanding of overborder road freight operations is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders under pressure
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities
• Problem-solving mindset with analytical thinking
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance standards
