With Hilarious Memes Tweeps React to the Country Having A Minister of Electricity. Thursday all eyes were fixated on TV screens for the much anticipated State of the Nation Address. With the country going through the most thanks to load shedding, water cuts, high inflation rate, loss of jobs among other things, everyone wanted to know what the president has to say.

It goes without saying that the constant load shedding and powers cuts were at the top of the agenda. President Cyril Ramaphosa did not disappoint as he tackled the issue. In a bid to try solve the problem, Ramaphosa stated that he will appoint a Minister of Electricity in the Presidency. The minister would be responsible for energy recovery. To achieve this, the minister will work with the Eskom board and management.

“I will appoint the Minister of Electricity in the Presidency to assume full responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the electricity crisis response, including the work of the National Energy Crisis Committee,” Ramaphosa said.

Well as expected there are mixed feelings regarding this development. Most people feel it’s just a waste of money, looking how congested the cabinet is. It is more job opportunities for people at the top, while many people in the country are struggling to find employment.
