Cornet Mamabolo Releases a Statement Regarding Drunken Driving Allegations. A few days ago, reports were flying around that Cornet Mamabolo is in a serious scandal. It was alleged that the actor was recently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

It was also claimed that he was fired from SABC1 drama Skeem Saam. In a bid to clear his name and set the record straight, Mamabolo who plays Thabo Maputla on Skeem Saam has put out a statement on his social media pages. He denies the drunken driving allegations and says he doesn’t even have a police case pending against him.

Mamabolo also squashed the rumor that he is a former Skeem Saam actor. He put it out there that it has been 8 years on the show, and he has been growing stronger and stronger with Skeem Saam.

“At no stage have I ever been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and I’m not aware of a pending investigation against me……I reject the allegation that I’m a former actor of the mentioned daily drama Skeem Saam,” he stated.

Mamabolo said that he has now handed the matter to his legal team who are talking to the Sunday Sun/Daily Sun about retracting the story.
