Lesego Marakalla Returns to Generations: The Legacy. As much as we are all for opening up the industry, it is always hear warming to see talent return to take up their rightful space. One such is Lesego Marakalla, who is making a comeback to the small screen.

After 8 years on Skeem Saam, the award winning actress took a break in 2020 from the show. Lesego cited an intention to take a break from acting and return to school full time. She played Rachel Kunutu the hit SABC1 youth soapie. Rachel was a troubled young lady who always wanted a better life for herself and family. She did everything she could to live the life that she believed her late father could have given her, including getting married to an older rich man, Marothi Maphuthuma. For killing this character, Lesego bagged herself the Outstanding Female Villain award at the Royalty Soapie Awards in 2018.

In May this year, Lesego made her debut on Generations: The Legacy.,cast to play the role of Thuso. Her character came as Winston’s partner in crime and came through with the much needed drama. Sadly Thuso disappeared from our screens, but the character was so good that it is coming back. In her debut scene, Lesego’s character bashed Sphesihle Cele for bad-mouthing serial killer Winston who tried to kill her. Now Thuso took things a notch up by entering the scene walking side by side with the dangerous Oby.

“Thuso is back! And this time o tsamaya le Oby…yhu, I’m not ready for this storyline 😭😂,” Lesego announced in excitement.
