She is never shy to open up about how horrible or unfairly she was treated by those she was in relationships with. Another thing, Masasa that Masasa has opened up about is being mocked for her looks.

Speaking of relationships, in February 2021, the award winning actress, took to Twitter to reveal that she once bought a R15 000 chandelier to an ex, who had narcissistic traits. It turned out the man was a serial cheater, and one of his exes left with the chandelier. This is quite some hectic stuff to go through, such that Masasa still couldn’t get over it five years later. She went on to date renowned scriptwriter Gwydion Beynon, but sadly it looks like their romance fizzled.

Though Masasa never reveals what went down between her and Gwydion, her social media updates show that she has been hurt by love a couple of times. She recently shared an old experience where someone she once loved advised her against having kids. Their reasoning was that Masasa would pass on her ‘unusual looks’ to the kids. How rude and inconsiderate!

“I remember someone I once loved telling me I’m unusual looking & probably shouldn’t have kids because I will pass on this unusual looking to them. What a weird thing to say to someone who works with their face & body. Life is hard but being human is truly the hardest thing,” Masasa shared her sad experience.

Although the person has probably forgotten uttering such words, they still have an impact on Masasa to this day. She admits she struggles with doing photo-shoots for work.
