This is because they feel Pearl Thusi is lenient with those close to her. The media personality and actress’s interview with AKA and Kelly Khumalo has left many feeling she could have done more.
Since these two are always on the news, viewers feel Pearl could have asked intense questions with regards to their scandals. They think since Pearl is friends to some of her guests, she is biased when it comes to digging out juicy information.
Tweeps could not hold back and are asking for Pearl to be replaced. She did not take the criticism lying down and defended her way of doing things. “This show is not a tabloid fest. I will not use this platform as a sensationalist platform to attack my black brothers and sisters and break them down. I’m celebrating them while I get to know and understand their story. It’s THEIR STORY. Not mine, and my feeling come second,” she said.
She futher went on to say that she won’t ambush her guests or make them feel attacked by her line of questioning. “To change their opinions or stories with my feelings or moral ethics/code is not what the show is about. Its called behind the story, not what Pearl thinks,” she concluded.
