The St Paul Bible Institute in Umlazi, KwaZulu Natal has honored Nomvethe with a Doctorate Degree in Sport. He was recognized for his contribution to the game, serving as a role model to youngsters and being a top goal scorer.
The 41-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates becomes one of the few esteemed South African servants of the beautiful game to earn the ‘Doctor’ title. He joins football greats like Jomo Sono and Irvin Khoza.
Nomvethe remains the PSL’s leading goal scorer, having amassed 121 goals in the premier division, while also netting 16 times for Bafana. Congratulations on this honor, and may you continue to inspire.
