Advertising Coordinator Wanted At Makro. To Ensure all Marketing jobs listed on the Production Schedule are successfully coordinated and implemented according to the Production Plan.

Key Performance Areas

  • Ensure effective and efficient communication within the department and will all stakeholders
  • To ensure all changes of promotions (Pricing format etc.) are communicated to the traffic manager as soon as possible to minimize risk/impact to the business.
  • Ensure all promotion deadlines are met as per the Production Schedule
  • Daily Verification and confirmation of all promotional products and prices
  • Ensure that advertising process is adhered to at all times
  • Ensure status feedback report has been provided to the traffic manager on a daily basis
  • Ensure that buyers follow the governance procedures put in place by the Marketing department at all times
  • Ensure that Shoper is aligned to the repro copy once it has come back to the co-ordinator
  • Brief studio accurately and timeously
  • Ensure job orders are correctly written out and always signed off by the traffic manager
  • Ensure all promotion disks are delivered and collected on time
  • Ensure that the team structure is resourced by motivated & empowered staff & lead by sound performance management & transformational leadership practices
  • Engage in Talent Management
  • Develop Individual Development Plans to enable employee career plans
  • Manage non-performance through performance process
  • Manage Team Delivery based on performance plans
  • Foster team building
  • Ensure that the training, development and motivation of staff in the region is implemented as well as coach and mentor store managers to ensure that all staff are encouraged to maximize their capability and contribution
  • Ensure optimum staffing levels are maintained
  • Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained
  • Demonstrate consistent application of group and company procedures and policies
  • Plan and prioritise, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands
  • Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change
  • Work with the broader core and site HR teams to support the overall HR strategy

Requirements

Minimum Academic Requirements, Professional Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Matric
  • Marketing/Advertising Diploma
  • 2-3 years’ experience
