Florence Masebe Takes On Christians Who Believe Depression Can Be Prayed Away
Florence Masebe Takes On Christians Who Believe Depression Can Be Prayed Away. We have lost many loved ones to depression. Since the announcement of Hip Hop Pantsula’s death, the depression discussion has risen again. Many believe that religion is the final answer to this problem, while others argue otherwise. Actress Florence Masebe is among those who beg to differ.
And you still tell us depression can be prayed away.

She said people should not use depression as an opportunity to practice their religious superman speeches.
Depression is not a joke. It is also not an opportunity for you to practice your religious superman speech. Afford people an opportunity to get the necessary treatment. If they lose the battle, don't call them weak in faith. In fact don't call them weak at all.

Florence also narrated what happened to her uncle who was a christian.
My Christ loving uncle was depressed. He called his sister in distress asking her to come over. She too was Christ loving. She told him to pray. While she was calling others and telling them to pray, he killed himself. Neither he nor his sister underestimated the power of prayer.
