The xibelani dance or shibelani dance is an indigenous dance of the Tsonga or Shangaan women of the Limpopo province. Normally it is performed wearing a knee length skirt typically worn by adult Tsonga women. The skirt which is also called a xibelani is made by a bolt (about 18 metres) of a fabric called salempore.
