SA Celebs Who Took Part In The Comrades Marathon. Few of our celebrities joined the rest of fitness fanatics for this year’s Comrades Marathon. The race kicked off at 5:30am at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall with the finish line at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Bongumusa Mthembu emerged as the winner of the 93rd edition of the Comrades Marathon with a time of 5:26:35. This is his 3rd win after winning the marathon for the first time in 2014 and again in 2017. South Africa’s Ann Ashworth won the women’s race with a time of 6:10:0.
