“Leave Us Alone,” Zimbabweans Fire Shots At South African Journalist Redi Tlhabi
“Leave Us Alone,” Zimbabweans Fire Shots At South African Journalist Redi Tlhabi. South African journalist Redi Tlhabi was interviewed by CNN about the ongoing situation in Zimbabwe. Redi who is a member of the UN Global Journalists Corps shared her thoughts which did not go down well with some Zimbabweans.
“Mnangagwa is no democrat so the world must not breathe a sigh of relief that Mugabe is gone,” Redi was quoted as saying. Some Zimbabweans were clearly not impressed with her analysis and took to Twitter to air thier disagreements.
But when did @RediTlhabi become an expert on #Zimbabwe? Why can't @CNN interview Zimbabwean journalists about the situation in Zimbabwe? Nothing against Redi. But I think South Africa is her competence.

No disrespect, but we have our own very competent and eloquent journalists who can speak about Zimbabwe. We don’t need others to speak on our behalf.
