Hot New Music Show Ready To Take Talent To The Next Level. The music show dubbed THE NXT LVL, will give DJs, singers, rappers and bands the platform to learn the ins and outs of the music biz from some of South Africa’s music giants. 5 talented artists will take part in a 10 week master class that will see one of them become the NXT big thing on the SA Music scene. Meet The Mentors
1. Euphonik
Arguably one of South Africa’s most sought after Dj’s and recently included in the Mail & Guardian’s Top 300 young South Africans, Themba Nkosi aka Euphonik has scaled the ranks of Dj, producer and radio presenter territory in an incredible short space of time.
2. DJ Zinhle
Metro FM and SAMA Award nominee DJ Zinhle, stepped onto the South African DJ scene at a time when it was still very much of a man’s world, but this talented lady quickly managed to turn some heads with her crazy skills on the decks. She even grabbed the attention of some of Mzansi’s most respected DJs, such as DJ Oskido, and has today become one of the best female house DJs in SA.
3. Riky Rick
Riky Rick’s first side of music began at a recording studio session with Bongani Fassie. It was by Bongani’s side that Rick was inspired to make his own music. That is when he released his first single Barbershop featuring DA L.E.S. He then rose to fame by the release of his hit single Nafukwa which was a big success.
4. Danny K
In a world of throw away pop, where idols come and go, an artist who has stood the test of time is undoubtedly Danny K. Best known for his SAMA award-winning hits and the non-profit organization SHOUT, which he co-founded in 2007, Danny continues to reinvent himself in the public eye, appealing to even the most tough and cynical audiences.
5. Big Nuz
BIG NUZ is a well-known and highly celebrated Durban-based kwaito group under the Afrotainment record label. With multiple awards under their names and numerous tours that haven taken place on the continent with huge success, BIG NUZ are a brand that continues to take the uniquely South African brand of music known as Kwaito to the rest of the world.
