Skeem Saam’s Actor Mlungisi Mathe Shares A Horrifying Hijacking Ordeal

Actor and Maskandi musician Mlungisi Mathe who portrays the character of Emkay in Skeem Saam was involved in a horrifying hijacking that took place over the weekend. The hijacking happened while Mlungisi also known as Skandi Kid was hanging with his friends in Katlehong, East Rand.

Mlungisi explained the incident to Sunday World “Just when I was about to start the car these guys appeared from nowhere and ordered us to lie down. They searched us and took our phones, wallets and some of our belongings. There were about four or five of them in two cars.”

Luckily no one got hurt, the hijackers took their belongings including their car and took off. The actor and his friends reported the case to the nearby police station. This incident is a follow up of many that have taken place where celebrities get hijacked or mugged. Celebrities like DJ Zinhle and Current Miss SA Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters have also been victims to such crimes.

Mlungisi said that he still can’t believe that he went through that “It has not sunk in yet for me. I don’t even know how I feel, all I know is that the car is gone.”
