Social Media Reactions To Babes Wodumo’s Award Loss. Babes Wodumo also known as Qgom queen had a sad repeat of history when she didn’t win an award for best newcomer at the South African Music Awards over the weekend. At Metro Awards she sadly went home with nothing also.

The Wololo queen was furious at that and stood up and left right after the announcement of the award she didn’t get but felt she deserved.

She and her PR Manager and boyfriend Mampintsha, posted on instagram yesterday saying that it’s obvious that people buy awards here in South Africa. They spoke in a rather angering tone. There are fans and celebrities who also feel Babes Wodumo deserved the award.

She was nominated at the BET awards and stated that if she wasn’t so deserving or good enough her music wouldn’t be popular even to white people and be globally recognized.
