Why Metro FM Won’t Take Bonang Back

Bonang Matheba’s departure from Metro FM has been one of this week’s biggest talking topics and the aftermath to her resignation from the SABC-run station has been absolutely massive. The latest bit of information to come from this fall out is  whether Metro FM would take back Bonang Matheba should she want to return to the station..

Apparently, the only reason why media personality Bonang Matheba stayed at the SABC for so long was because the former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng helped Bonang keep her job at Metro FM, but now that Hlaudi is gone, chances are the SABC will not take her back

A source close to the situation revealed that The (SABC management) were tired of Bonang. “There is no way that the station will be beholden to anyone, certainly not someone who lies. She may have grown up here and this is her home, but she’s been kicked out now. It’s done,” the source spoke.

Other sources agree that Bonang was let go of by the station and she may never comeback.

“When she left the last time the then COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng forgave her and she and SABC made peace and she cameback, that’s not the case now. The new management weren’t going to be lenient on her,” our source explains.
