Umlilo Actress Nokuthula Ledwaba Opens Up About Being Abandoned by Her Mom
Umlilo actress Nokuthula Ledwaba has opened up about being a mother and being abandoned by her own mother. She shared painful secrets from his past in the latest issue of Drum. Her mother abandoned her and her siblings when they were children as a teenager she developed deep insecurities about her identity.
“I felt the pain of rejection as a teenager. I was at a stage of my life when I started asking myself who I looked like and where my father was,” she said. “At times I would get angry that my mother left us.”
Her mom who had abandoned her was her adoptive mother’s cousin and she admits that her childhood was good and she has good memories.
She says she kept in touch with her mom but their relationship wasn’t good but she had to learn to forgive her and established a relationship with her.
Sadly both women passed away and now she is a mother with a different perspective about how to raise a child.
