Jacaranda FM Is Looking For A Producer

Jacaranda FM is looking for a producer to join our vibrant and dynamic team in our programming department.

Reporting to the programme manager, you will be responsible to conceptualise new content ideas; repurpose content across multiple channels and find new angles on current news and actuality.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Produce on air content
• Deliver a completed form guide to the programme manager daily
• Send weekly report to the programme manager
• Work closely with the technical producer to coordinate the show from the initial concept to final production and distribution
• Be available for meetings and air checks
• Facilitate the pre-show meeting
• Monitor social media sites for listener feedback daily

Requirements

• Three to four years’ related experience as a producer in a radio environment
• Journalistic experience an advantage
• Fluency in both English and Afrikaans
• Valid drivers licence
• Multimedia experience
• You will have to work well under pressure; multitask and willing to work long hours with excellent time management skills
