The Man Cave is back for it’s fourth season and the show promises more entertainment. The popular magazine show created for men, by men – returns to SABC3 for an epic fourth season from the 10th of April, in an exciting new timeslot – Sundays at 18:00. The countdown has begun! We had the opportunity to chat with the presenters of the show, Lunga Shabalala, Janez Vermeiren and Siv Ngezi who are ready to blow us away. This is how the interview went down…….
YV: What can fans expect from the brand new Season of Man Cave?
Season 4 of The Man Cave promises to be more suave and smooth than previous seasons without moving away from our taste for adrenaline and competitive nature. We head to Thailand, Vietnam and The Philippines indulging in fine delicacies such as bats, scorpions and spiders along the way exploring the road less travelled.
YV: Man Cave is now on its fourth Season, how has the success been so far?
We have seen major success and growth season by season as is demonstrated by our Safta nomination this year, getting recognition at that level is always just reward for all the hard work we put in. Seeing fans from different demographics recognise us and identify us with the show is always a plus and shows how far we have come
YV: Man Cave was nominated for Best Magazine Show at the 2016 SAFTAs, what did this recognition mean?
This recognition shows that all the hard work behind the scenes by our production team is being reognised by our peers in the industry, there is no better feeling. We are all one family and the nomination meant everything to us. This year we didn’t win but Season 4 is absolutely amazing and we hope that we are nominated and win this year.
YV: You’ve added another dose of hotness to your list of presenters, Siv Ngesi. What was the reason behind this?
As mentioned earlier we have been growing season by season and Siv Joined us at the beginning of Season 3 and was received well by our audience. Siv brings extreme energy and an unparalleled competitive edge to The Man Cave. What makes the show special is that we are all good friends and this shows on screen.
And we also had a brief individual chat with the handsome presenters of the show. See below ……….

Lunga Shabalala: I have been with the show since it’s inception. I have seen the struggles and hard work that it took to get here. It’s just a blessing to see how far we’ve come
YV: What is that one thing that excites you about The Man Cave?
Janez Vermeiren: The fact that for the first time ever we have a female presenter and our new Man Cave at Steyn City is the best looking set in South Africa
YV: What can fans expect from you on the show?
Siv Ngesi: You can expect the same old Siv. Crazy, opinionated, line crossing and competitive. You can expect me to win every time there is a challenge.
